"Chili's Headline" Branded Typeface was created in collaboration with David Kampa in Austin, Texas. David created the typeface concept and all of the individual characters for the typface. Jeff Gillen digitized his drawings and "cleaned up" the vector paths, editing them for "visual esthetics" , and imported the vector artwork into Fontographer. Mindcandy then adjusted character spacing, x-height: and added kerning pairs. We then generated Postscript Type One and Truetype digital fonts for GSD&M; and, subsequently, for Brinker International, ie. Chili's Restaurant franchise.

All verbal brand names, brand identity designs, trademarks, logos, positioning taglines, images, text, graphics, and buttons are the intellectual property of Jeffrey Gillen and Mindcandy Branding — and are protected under international copyright laws.
