SYNOPSIS: Info-Lounge is a small programming firm located in Davis, California. In the summer of 2007, Info-Lounge networked with Mindcandy Studios to create a new brand identity that would attract both national corporate clients and technology start-ups in the bay area. The needed a powerful brand identity that would appeal to both of their target markets—a brand identity and brand identity system that was both provocative yet timeless enough to attract more main-stream corporate clientele. Info-Lounge focuses in custom database solutions, using their extensive knowledge of PHP and MySQL to create process efficient, data-driven websites—allowing the maximum amount of flexibility for the needs of their clients.
RESULTS: Mindcandy Studios created a simple yet powerful brand identity. The two words "info" and "lounge" are slightly offset on the horizontal plane, visually portraying the "client-side" and "server-side" (the two communication levels inherent in all data-driven websites). The green and blue rounded rectangles represent the two types of "data chunks" - both the "client data" and "server data" that seamlessly flow from their clients' web server to your web browser. Info-Lounge is a "solution-oriented" firm, therefore, we created a simple, memorable and powerful positioning tagline - "database solutions". |
